St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Farusi

The history of the parish dates back to the turn of the century when the early pioneers wanted a place for worship. They got together and decided to build a church as soon as possible. They received the title for 40 acres of land in 1904.

The building was finished in 1907. By the year 1920 there were more than 40 members.

In 1964 an addition was built to the church. In 1978 the interior was remodeled with the installation of wall-to-wall carpeting and wall-paneling.
