Biography:

Bishop Iov was born into a priest’s family in the town of Pochaev, Kremenetsk District, Ternopol Region. In his childhood he fulfilled different obediences in parish churches and then in Pochaev Lavra.
From 1984 to 1986 he served in the military service.

In 1987 graduated from the Leningrad Theological Seminary, in 1991 the St. Petersburg Theological Academy with the academic degree of Phd of Theology.

The education committee sent him to the disposal of Metropolitan of Kiev and All the Ukraine for teaching work.

From 1991 was an assistant inspector, a secretary of the Kiev Theological Academy administration, from 1992 was a secretary of the Academic council of the Kiev Theological Academy, the superintendent dean of the Academic Church of the Nativity in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a seminary teacher.

On August 25, 1991 was ordained deacon (celibate), on August 27 was ordained priest. In 1995 was raised to the dignity of archpriest.

On April 1997 was tonsured a monk and on June 13 was elevated to the dignity of archimandrite.

On June 22, 1997 was designated Bishop of Kherson and Tauria in the Refectory church of the Venerable Fathers Antony and Theodosius of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

From March 30, 1999 was administrator of the Sumy and Akhtyrka Diocese. He was the rector of the Sumy pastoral theological school and chief editor of the newspaper “Orthodox Sumshina”.

On May 24, 2005 was appointed Bishop of Kashira, Vicar of the Moscow Diocese, Administrator of the Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Canada.

By the decision of the Holy Synod of March 31, 2009 (Jornal #18) was appointed an acting Administrator of the Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA.
