The clergy of the Patriarchal Parishes took part in the Patronal Feast of St Herman Cathedral of OCA

On the 13th of December, by the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA and Canada, the clergy of the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada took part in the Patronal Feast of St. Herman’s Cathedral on the Orthodox Church in America.

The Liturgy was headed by His Eminence, Irénée, Archbishop of Ottawa and the Archdiocese of Canada, with numerous clergy of OCA co-serving.

During the service there was an ordination to the Holy Priesthood of Deacon Nykolai Garagan, and ordination to a Subdeacon of Don Aellen; Evan Truscott was tonsured as a Reader.

After the Liturgy and the traditional Litia for the departed there was a celebratory meal down in the fellowship hall.

Congratulations to the rector – Archpriest Vincent Lehr, the newly ordained clergy and sub-clergy, and all the parishioners of St Herman of Alaska Orthodox Sobor in Edmonton, with the Patronal Feast!
