12th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia

On February 1, 2021, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the twelfth anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
On this significant day, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
His Holiness was assisted by the hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church and the capital’s clergy.
The Soyuz and Spas TV channels and the official portal Patriarchia.ru of the Russian Orthodox Church broadcasted the Patriarchal divine service.
At the augmented litany, special petitions for the Most Holy Patriarch were proclaimed, then Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsk and Kolomna offered up a prayer for the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At the end of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Juvenaly read out a congratulatory address to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill on behalf of the members of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church and presented His Holiness with an icon of the Holy Right-Believing Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky, whose 800th anniversary is celebrated this year.
After the service, His Holiness received congratulations from the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin and the Prime Minister M.V. Mishustin.
Congratulations on the twelfth anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill were sent, on behalf of the clergy, monastics and laity in the Great Britain, Ireland, the USA, Canada and Mexico, by His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada.
