On May 12, 2019, on Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing women, after the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA and Canada, chaired a Parish Assembly meeting of the parish of the Intercession of the Mother of God in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

His Grace congratulated all parishioners with the Day of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing women and expressed his deep condolences over the recent death of Archpriest Dimitriy Sever, who was a parish priest for many years.

The meeting raised questions about the financial and economic situation of the parish, discussed current issues of parish life in the community.
