On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Canada and the 120th anniversary of the first Orthodox Liturgy on Canadian soil, solemn divine services will be held on July 22 and 23, 2017, with the participation of a delegation from Russia led by His Eminence Anthony, Bishop of Bogorodsk, Head of the Directorate for Institutions Abroad of the Russian Orthodox Church. Everyone is invited to take part in the celebrations.

July 22 (Saturday):

9:45 – Meeting of Bishop Anthony in the Cathedral of the Great Martyr Barbara, Edmonton

10:00 – Divine Liturgy

12:30 – Lunch in the Cathedral’s hall

17:30 – A brief funeral prayer at the burial of Archbishop Panteleimon at the cemetery of the parish at Nisku and at Archpriest John Margitich in the cemetery of the Cathedral of St. Barbara

18:00Vespers and Matins in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary at Nisku

July 23 (Sunday):
